Lewes BPW budget meeting Feb. 11
The Lewes Board of Public Works will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, to discuss the fiscal year 2021 operations and maintenance budget. Officials are also expected to discuss their strategic plan. For more information, call the BPW office at 302-645-6228.

Lewes Mayor and City Council will continue discussing its fiscal year 2021 budget at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, at city hall. For information, call 302-645-7777.

Lewes parking group to meet Feb. 12
The Lewes Business District Parking Ad Hoc Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, at city hall. The group will discuss the ongoing MERJE wayfinding project and local signage, while also receiving an update on the city’s use of the M&T Bank parking lot at the corner of Market and Third streets. Lewes Traffic Safety Committee to meet Feb. 13
The Lewes Traffic Safety Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, at city hall. The group will discuss lighting at Second Street and Savannah Road and receive an update on crosswalks along Cape Henlopen Drive. For more information, call city hall at 302-645-7777.

Dewey budget, finance committee to meet Feb. 14
The Dewey Beach Budget and Finance committee will meet at 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at the Lifesaving Station, 1 Dagsworthy Ave. Members will review recent financial results, including actual vs. budget and year-over-year comparisons, and discuss the 2021 budget process with the town manager.  For commissioners, members will develop proposals for set-aside accounts and bank accounts and relationships. Rehoboth tree advisory committee to meet Feb. 14
The Rehoboth Beach Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Trees has scheduled a meeting for 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, in the commissioners room of city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave. The agenda calls for discussion on Arbor Day 2020 and other priorities for this year. Rehoboth planners to meet Feb. 14
The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission has scheduled a meeting for 1:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, in the commissioners room of city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave. The agenda calls for a preliminary review of a partitioning application for the property at 408 Scarborough Ave. The review has been requested by owner Timothy Naughton of The Evergreene Companies LLC. The agenda also calls for an update on the 2020 comprehensive development plan.

14th RD Democrats to meet Feb. 12 
The 14th Representative District Democratic Party Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Iron Hill Brewery on Route 1 north of Rehoboth Beach. Attendees will focus on planning for the upcoming Democratic national primary and for this fall's national, state and local elections.

Volunteer opportunities at all commitment levels are available, ranging from one-time event planning to long-term committee service. The committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at Iron Hill Brewery. Old Mill Landing vote on Feb. 13 agenda
Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Included on the agenda is a possible vote on the Old Mill Landing South and Old Mill Landing North subdivisions near Roxana and Fenwick Island.

Among the public hearings is a conditional-use application filed by Indian River School District for a special needs school on a 32-acre parcel on the east side of Patriots Way near Georgetown.
