Wilmington/Baltimore Avenue task force meeting June 2

Rehoboth Beach’s Wilmington/Baltimore Avenue Streetscape Task Force has scheduled a meeting for 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 2. The meeting will be conducted virtually. The agenda calls for continued discussion on the draft layout prepared by the city’s contractor.

Rehoboth environment committee meeting set for June 4

The Rehoboth Beach Environment Committee has scheduled a meeting for 10 a.m., Friday, June 4. The meeting will be conducted in person at Rehoboth Beach City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave., and online.

The agenda calls for continued discussions on elimination of single-use plastic products, “bring your own bag” signage, a student artwork project for the commercial district barriers and a sustainable action plan.

Lewes bike and ped meeting set June 1

The Lewes Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 1. The group will discuss improvements to the city’ bike corrals, possible locations for new bike racks, Cedar Avenue bike lanes, crosswalk signage and other topics. Lewes Mitigation Planning Team meets

Lewes pickleball group meets June 2

The Pickleball Facility Subcommittee of the Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission will meet virtually at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 2. Lewes floodplain subcommittee to meet

Lewes historic preservation sets meeting for June 3

The Lewes Historic Preservation Architectural Review Commission will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 3. A public hearing will be held for a request to demolish an existing accessory structure at 113 Dewey Ave., a contributing structure. The request will be considered by the commission immediately following the hearing. They will also consider a request from Coastal Cottage Renovations for renovations and an addition to the home at 5 Jefferson Court, a non-contributing structure. A link to the meeting can be found on the agenda at lewes.civicweb.net

Lewes council special meeting June 3

Lewes Mayor and City Council will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 3, regarding two grievances. Each will be handled in an executive session closed to the public. The first grievance hearing is in accordance with the city’s personnel policy, while the second hearing is related to the city’s agreement with General Teamsters Local Union 326.
