Henlopen Acres sets Block W cleanup

Henlopen Acres will hold a cleanup of the Block W dunes at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 3. Volunteers will gather at the cul-de-sac on Pine Reach, near the entrance path to the dunes. Participants are asked to bring sturdy black trash bags, gloves and bug spray. Bags and gloves will be supplied if necessary. There are ticks in the dunes, and it’s a good idea to wear socks, a long-sleeved shirt and a hat.

This is a kid-friendly event. There will be a park ranger to teach about the importance of keeping dunes clean and healthy. After the cleanup there will be ice cream offered at the beach club.
