Nickle Electrical donates $8K to Delaware Veterans Trust Fund

November 11, 2020

Nickle Electrical Companies and its employees donated $8,040 to the Friends of Delaware Veterans Inc.

The donation will support the organization’s Delaware Veterans Trust Fund which provides financial assistance to veterans for healthcare needs, housing support, educational and training programs and other financial emergencies such as utility cutoffs and lack of food.

“It’s such a pleasure to witness our employees come together and support veterans in our communities,” said Steve Dignan, Nickle president and CEO. “I hope it provides inspiration and optimism, even during this difficult year. Thank you to all our employee donors and a special thank you to all of our veterans.”

Nickle matched, dollar for dollar, what each employee contributed. Since beginning the campaign five years ago, the company and its employees have donated a total of $27,670. The Friends of Delaware Veterans returns 100 percent of its proceeds to prescreened, honorably discharged Delaware veterans and their families in verified financial emergencies. Its board of directors is made up of military veterans.

“We are honored and grateful to annually partner with the wonderful people at Nickle Electrical in assisting the men and women who serve our state and nation in uniform,” said Dave Skocik, president, Delaware Veterans Trust Fund.
