Nonprofit mapping tool enables collaboration for collective impact in Delaware

May 21, 2018

Philanthropy Delaware and Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement have launched Share Delaware, their comprehensive and open community database for civic leadership and collaboration.

Share Delaware hosts Delaware’s most up-to-date and complete resource directory of active nonprofit organizations. The database provides data, knowledge and interactive tools for effective collaboration among nonprofits, government, funders and other stakeholders around a wide range of issues that influence the quality of life in Delaware. It will be a catalyst to fund programs, build coalitions, begin collaborations, drive impact and access resources.

Sheila Bravo, president and CEO of DANA, said, “The purpose of Share Delaware is to drive sustainable impact within the nonprofit sector. This collaborative will develop partnerships between government, funders, and nonprofits to better serve the community, and will allow grassroots organizations the opportunity to highlight their impact with the potential to be discovered by donors.”

“In order for Delaware to join the national trend of collective impact, we need to know who is working in what space,” said Cynthia Pritchard, president and CEO of Philanthropy Delaware. “Funders across the state need to make critical, strategic and thoughtful investments to align their funding with organizational priorities. Share Delaware makes this decision-making process easier by providing visual asset mapping, and a report mechanism that allows them to look comparatively and subjectively at nonprofits working in the various fields.”

Share Delaware is made possible by a grant from Capital One and Discover Bank. For more information, go to www.ShareDelaware.org.
