Painting skills class at Rehoboth Art League to start Sept. 21
The Rehoboth Art League announced an upcoming class series titled Getting in Touch with Your Painting Skills, led by local artist Joe Terrone.
Suitable for beginners as well as more seasoned painters, the six-week class will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 21 to Oct. 26. It is open to students working in acrylics or oils. Each class will cover a specific topic such as drawing skills, color theory, composition, and the importance of value and perspective.
Participants will also learn how to read a tube of paint, what kind of brushes are needed, and what alternative substrates can be used. Individual instruction will be given to each student to help develop a specific plan for growth.
As participants advance weekly, they will become more equipped to understand and analyze their own artwork. The cost is $245 for members and $280 for nonmembers.
