Pam Bounds’ work on exhibit at The Moorings

Show includes vintage pieces
May 21, 2019

If you own one or 20 of Pam Bounds' original works of art, you probably have wondered how her wonderful, wacky and vibrant style evolved. Well, wonder no more. In a new show at Lewes senior living community, The Moorings at Lewes (formerly Cadbury), Bounds has co-exhibited new work along with many pieces from decades ago. Some of these vintage pieces have never been seen before in a public venue.

A watercolor of Bounds’ house in Milton from almost 50 years ago shows a hint of her current style, but she no longer paints in that medium. Two portraits of cows show her early flair for whimsy, but frames and mats are far more conservative than today. There are two oil paintings of birds she painted in high school and many others. She even added two vintage childhood portrait photos of herself to complement a more recent one.

This show at The Moorings is as close to a retrospective as one will ever see of the always creative, forever indomitable Bounds. New work is also shown and is for sale.

The Moorings at Lewes welcomes the public to see this one of a kind art show Monday through Sunday during business hours. It is located at 17028 Cadbury Circle in Lewes, off Gills Neck Road.
