Pamela Gail Johnson to discuss ‘Practical Happiness’ Feb. 2

January 24, 2022

Pamela Gail Johnson, founder of the Secret Society of Happy People, will join the Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books for a live, online discussion of her new book “Practical Happiness: Four Principles to Improve Your Life” at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, via Zoom.

In “Practical Happiness,” Johnson teaches readers how to think differently about happiness and shares her philosophy for creating a realistic yet joyful life. She explains how happiness is unique to each person and their circumstances, how to manage common experiences that zap happiness, how happiness changes and the 31 types of happiness. Through real-life stories and thought-provoking, workbook-style questions, readers can immediately begin to apply these principles to their lives.

Johnson has helped people understand, expand and rethink their happiness mindset since 1998, when she founded the Secret Society of Happy People at the height of the self-help movement. Today there are 52,000 members on Facebook and more elsewhere. Johnson and the society have been featured in many national and regional magazines and newspapers, as well as numerous broadcast outlets and several books.

Registration is required at the Lewes Public Library website, lewes.lib.de.us, or tinyurl.com/zoomwithauthors.
