Parents read poetry to Love Creek Elementary students

Every week, fourth-grade teacher Tina Windsor invites students’ parents to read poetry aloud to her class at Love Creek Elementary School.
While students listen, participating parents read several poems from books such as “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and “Everything On It,” both written by Shel Silverstein.
Then during a class discussion, students discuss interpretations and any visions they had while listening to the poem, and whatever underlying themes they believe the poem is representing.
