Pathways to Success celebration sponsorships due July 8

June 26, 2019

Some Pathways to Success supporters and students will be honored at the organization’s 2nd Annual Pay It Forward Celebration set for 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 27, at The Clubhouse at Baywood.

Honorees include Cornelius Blake, active Pathways to Success volunteer who is always available to help with fundraisers and other tasks; Jeffrey Benson, Seaford School District board member who personally mentors the youth in the Pathways program; Gary Conaway, media broadcasting instructor at Sussex Technical High School who has covered, along with students in his class, Pathways to Success Young Ladies and Young Men summits and other events; Sue Claire Harper, who has donated to Pathways to Success through a thrift shop she volunteers with and her personal funds; and Michael Meoli, CEO of the Meoli Companies, who has hired and mentored the youth in the Pathways to Success program for many years.

The following Pathways to Success students will also be honored: Valori Addison, Abigail Honaker, Niyasha Mosley and Shamaya Young. Local jazz band Shades of Blue will perform jazz, blues and Motown music. There will also be fabulous auction items, including baked goods.

Fay Blake, Pathways to Success executive director, said, “We welcome this opportunity to thank these local residents and students for their support. Without them we would not be able to accomplish and serve as many students and their families that we do. We thank everyone in our community for their support. It truly does take a village and we appreciate all the support we have received.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available and include many benefits with tickets to the event depending on the level of sponsorship. The deadline for submitting sponsorship payment is Monday, July 8. For more information, contact Sarah Gilmour, Pathways to Success outreach coordinator, at 302-381-1494 or sarahgilmour@verizon.net.
