Patricia Cyganowski Slygh, Parkinson’s group director

March 16, 2023

Patricia Cyganowski Slygh, 64, of Georgetown, formerly of Bel Air, Md., passed away Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born in Bloomsburg, Pa., to her late parents Alfred J. Cyganowski and Mary Ruth (Steiner) Cyganowski.

Patricia’s tireless dedication to the group and her community will be dearly missed. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Edward Slygh, formerly of Georgetown. She is survived by her children, Alicen and her husband Brad Dingman of Chesapeake, Va., and Joseph and his wife Sarah (Arminger) Slygh of Bel Air, Md.; her sister, Jean and her husband Mike Chiveral of Essex, Md.; and her grandchildren and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 19, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, with an additional viewing held the same evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private at Delaware Veterans Cemetery.
