The annual Fourth of July Lewes Boat Parade overcame the midweek holiday to draw a huge crowd along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. A total of 25 boats entered the parade, each with a patriotic theme to honor the United States of America.
Taking the grand prize was Flip Floppin and Capt. Shank McCorkle. The boat’s tasteful and traditional decorations won over the judges.
First place went to JR Squared and Co-Capts. Jim Ruth and Jim Rivette. Second-place honors were awarded to Capt. John Birney’s Queen B, and the Propane Power and Capt. Pat Davison were selected for third place.
