Paul’s Kitchen continues support for Shepherd’s Office

May 17, 2020

Paul’s Kitchen and Cullen-ary Company announced its Kitchen Pop Up Market raised $2,876 from January to April to support the mission of the Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown.

Proceeds come from drinks sold during the event, which feature George’s Mixes, Beach Time Distilling and owner Paul Cullen’s own Rosso di Toscana wine, as well as from special pop-up dinner events. Paul’s Kitchen Pop Up Market is located at 32282 Cedar Grove Road, Lewes, and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday.

The personal in-home dining experiences which feature a four-course Italian dinner are followed by an intimate concert by Cullen. Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, he has had to change things up a bit in his kitchen. Now, Cullen is offering four-course dinners for two for pickup on Saturdays and Sundays, and they include a bottle of wine and a virtual concert that evening.

Dinners are limited and available for preorder only through www.paulcullen.rocks/s/shop.

The kitchen continues to offer brunch items and drinks to go on the weekend along with curbside service. Market items may be preordered through the above link. Proceeds from the beverage sales help support the Shepherd’s Office.

The Shepherd’s Office offers free bread, meals, and clothing to people who are homeless, hungry and lonely. The office is currently offering to-go meals to comply with the social distancing order and is unable to provide hot meals indoors.

Shepherd’s Place Executive Director Jim Martin said, “Paul's Kitchen has been an amazing supporter of our weekly efforts at providing over 500 free grab-and-go brown-bag meals to our homeless, hungry or lonely guests. Nina, Paul and Mary, as well as many of their regular customers at Paul's Kitchen, have been helping us out with financial support as well as making sandwiches every Tuesday.”

All are welcome at the Shepherd’s Office, and the need in Sussex County continues to grow. More information on the work can be found on its Facebook page.

“Jim and the volunteers are doing tremendous work in our community and under extremely difficult circumstances,” said Cullen. “Thank you to our loyal customers for their support of The Shepherd’s Office.”
