Paul Kares rocks Milton Theatre

June 24, 2022

Paul Kares, a nonprofit organization created by former Bad Company bassist Paul Cullen, rocked the Milton Theatre June 19, with an amazing night of food, libations and music to benefit the culinary and musical arts.

The event raised more than $40,000 for Paul Kares.

Live auctions offered included a tall-ship sailing cruise with Paul Jan. 27, 2024, a pilot boat ride out to a big ship, a four-hour boat ride on a pontoon with a cabin, and a low-digit Delaware license plate.

Sponsors for the event were Milton Theatre, Freedom Boat Club, Accent on Travel, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Quest Adventures, the Pilots’ Association for the Bay & River Delaware, Puzzles, Lewes Gourmet, the Cape Gazette, Paul Cullen Wines, Delmarva Power and Beach Time Distilling.

“It exceeded my expectations,” said Cullen. “The music was beyond amazing, intertwining the young and the not-so-young. The food, wine and libations were all on point. Thanks to all for joining us and those who helped put it together. Looking forward to our golf outing on Oct. 4 at Mulligan’s Pointe.”

Paul Kares was founded by Cullen and Jim Rivette to aid people in need of help and build a better place to live. Bringing awareness to the needs of where we live is what Paul Kares is about. Paul's background in music and culinary arts helps the young learn and practice something they can make a career out of one day, but they will still focus on today’s needs like feeding the homeless alongside Jim Martin's Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown.
