Paul Kares Showcase continues with Camille K Dec. 4

November 30, 2022

This year, Paul Kares, a charity supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals, launched a showcase series to spotlight singer-songwriters.

Camille K of “America’s Got Talent” fame will perform Sunday, Dec. 4, at The Room at Cedar Grove, an intimate venue near Lewes.

The Philadelphia-based artist learned to play guitar at age 7. Today, the singer-songwriter plays multiple instruments and delights audiences with her beautiful voice.

“Camille is going to wow our audience,” said Paul Cullen, who founded Paul Kares with James Rivette. “She’s inspired by the classic rock and R&B that many of our supporters know so well. But she also has developed her own style.”

Camille opened for Jon Anderson of Yes on his 1,000 Hands Tour, and has played the iconic Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J., and The Bitter End in New York.

Her song “I Believe in Miracles” is featured in the upcoming movie “Once Upon A Philly Christmas,” which will be released during the 2022 holiday season.

The evening will start at 5:30 p.m., and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Show tickets are $25, and proceeds benefit Paul Kares. Visit paulkaresde.org/concerts to purchase.

The evening is a production of Shooting Star Entertainment Group.

Paul Cullen, a Buffalo, N.Y. native,  grew up on cuisine made by his Italian grandmother, Elsie Tagliaferro, and his mother Nancy.

He developed a love of fine food and wine while touring Europe with the classic rock band Bad Company. Three decades later, he put down his bass and picked up an acoustic guitar, chef’s knife and wine key to create a diverse culinary company.

Over the past six years, he’s prepared in-home meals for more than 10,000 guests. A private concert follows each dinner. Cullen has taken his kitchen knives and guitar to Costa Rica, Tuscany and throughout the United States.

Dedicated to adult education, Cullen became a WSET-certified Level II sommelier in 2018. He deepened his love and knowledge of Italian cuisine on repeated trips to Italy by cooking with local chefs, sipping wine with winemakers and strolling the vineyards. He also performed with Italian musicians.

In addition to in-home dining, Cullen owns Paul’s Kitchen, an Italian specialty store and brunch spot in Lewes, the adjoining Room at Cedar Grove, an event space, and Unplugged & Uncorked, a wine company.

Dedicated to bringing Italy’s finest products to Delaware, he debuted Paul’s Rockin’ Vinegar with a small-batch Watermelon Balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy. It’s perfect on salads and in cocktails.
