Paul William Stauffer, loved the Lord

June 9, 2022

Paul William Stauffer, 87, of Rehoboth Beach, and formerly of Emmaus, Pa., passed away peacefully with his family by his side Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

Paul was a 1952 Emmaus High School graduate, and has been married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy M. (Reifinger) Stauffer for 66 years.

Paul served his country for six years in the Army National Guard, and retired from Sears of Whitehall, Pa., after a 42-year career.

Once retired, Paul and his wife Nancy relocated to Rehoboth Beach.  He enjoyed fishing the Delaware Bay off the pier in Cape Henlopen, reading, working in the yard and playing cards. Paul’s greatest love was for our Lord. He was a very active member of his church and was loved by all who knew him there.

Paul was a true gentleman, and always had a kind word to everyone he met. Paul was a devoted family man whose love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. His greatest joy was spending his time with his family, always providing encouraging and kind words, and never passing up an opportunity to share his love. He will be greatly missed.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Homer and Evelyn Stauffer of Emmaus, Pa. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy M. Stauffer; his sons John P. Stauffer of Orefield, Pa., Daniel J. Stauffer (wife Jill) of Aynor, S.C., and Matthew P. Stauffer (wife Sherri) of Emmaus; his brothers: Lester Stauffer (wife Rita) of Bethlehem, Pa., and Leroy Stauffer (wife Marge) of Emmaus; and his sister, Janet (Stauffer) Snyder (husband Richard) of Alburtis, Pa. Paul had nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th St., Lewes, where friends can visit beginning at 10 a.m.

Final care for Paul has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
