Phyllis Graby, served in U.S. Army

Phyllis Graby, 76, of Johnson City, N.Y., formerly of Millsboro, passed away suddenly Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.
She was born in Walton, N.Y., July 3, 1941, daughter of the late Kenneth Graby and the late Marjorie (Stevens) Graby. Phyllis also proudly served her country in the U.S. Army.
Phyllis retired as a sergeant first class in the Army in 1979 after 20 years of service.
She was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro, and loved meeting and visiting with people.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil Graby and Jim Graby; and a special friend, Ann Gannon. She is survived by two sisters, Janice Updyke and her husband Ralph of Johnson City, and Louise Sandoli of Oneonta, N.Y.; a brother, Steven Graby of Fort Collins, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Interment will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton.
