Police: Boy threatened Millsboro Middle

March 3, 2018

A 13-year-old boy faces charges after police say he threatened Millsboro Middle School.

Police went to Millsboro Middle School Feb. 26 after school officials said the boy made threatening statements on a school assignment, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

Jaffe said the boy made concerning comments toward the school principal and a staff member. He was removed from school for an evaluation, she said.

On Feb. 28, Jaffe said the school received information that the boy had threatened the school.

Police took the boy into custody March 1 without incident at a residence in Newark. He was charged with terroristic threatening. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
