Two Millsboro men face charges after police say they were selling methamphetamine out of their Pot-Nets home and the American Inn near Rehoboth Beach.
Members of the Sussex Drug Unit and the Governor’s Task Force concluded a month-long investigation May 16 into the distribution of methamphetamine in the area after they learned 55-year-old Daniel Tozzolo and 45-year-old Roger Jones were storing and distributing quantities of methamphetamine from their residence in the 34000 block of Morning Side Drive, Pot-Nets Creekside, Millsboro, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.
Detectives also learned that Tozzolo was temporarily renting a room at the American Inn and Suites located at 36012 Airport Road, Rehoboth Beach, to distribute methamphetamine, Jaffe said.
Following a search and seizure warrant issued for both locations, police found 38.89 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 9.22 grams of marijuana, 63 various prescription pills, more than $700 in suspected drug proceeds and multiple drug paraphernalia items.
Tozzolo and Jones were taken into custody in the area of the American Inn and Suites without incident and transported to Troop 4 where they were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug property, second-degree conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tozzolo was also charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity and possession of marijuana.
Both men were arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of bond; Tozzole on $72,500 cash only and Jones on $15,400 secured.
