Police investigate after Lincoln man dies from gunshot

Delaware State Police are investigating after a man was shot in Lincoln July 10 and he later died.

Police went to a home in the 15000 block of Winner Circle at 8:26 p.m. and found a man, 34, suffering from a gunshot wound, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police. The man was transported to Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Milford, and later transferred to Christiana Hospital where he died, she said. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin, she said.

The investigation is in its early stages; more information will be released when available. Jaffe said there is no threat or concern for the public’s safety at this time.
