A Rehoboth Beach man faces burglary and assault charges after police say broke into a home near Lewes and assaulted three residents Oct. 18.
Kent M. Inaanuran, 27, was at a home on Tradewinds Lane at 4:22 p.m. when other residents locked him out of the home after he was intoxicated and had stepped outside for a few minutes, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
Inaauran broke a sliding glass door to get back inside, and then broke through a locked bedroom door where his acquaintances were hiding – three males ages 41, 24 and 27, Pepper said. He assaulted all three men, she said, and the 41-year-old went to a nearby hospital by ambulance for treatment.
When police arrived, Pepper said they could hear screaming coming from inside and observed a broken glass sliding door. Inaanuran resisted arrest while being taken into custody and was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and two counts of offensive touching. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $36,200 secured bond.
