Police warn of Sussex County concert ticket scams

The Delaware State Police are warning the public to be aware of scams when purchasing concert tickets for venues across Sussex County.
Police say they have taken multiple reports from individuals who were scammed out of money by purchasing fictitious tickets. Scammers are directing concert enthusiasts to buy fictitious tickets through telephone prompts and websites that appear to be associated with different Sussex County concert venues. The Delaware State Police want to remind everyone that concert information and tickets are available from the official venue websites. Any ticket purchase or event information not verified through the official website is to be considered a scam, police said.
