A Seaford woman faces charges Oct. 16 after police say she ran over her boyfriend after they argued in Angola.
Jacquelyn S. Peruchi, 59, was arguing with her boyfriend, 48, in the 35000 block of North Drive, West Bay Park when she put her car in reverse and ran over her boyfriend, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police. When police arrived, Jaffe said, the boyfriend was lying on the ground and he told them Peruchi ran over his leg.
The boyfriend was taken to Beebe Healthcare where he was treated with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Peruchi was taken into custody and transported back to Troop 7 where she was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault recklessly intentional serious injury, second-degree reckless endangering and disorderly conduct.
Peruchi was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in default of $23,001 secured bond.
