After spending the New Year’s holiday weekend at his Rehoboth Beach-area North Shores home, around 8:30 a.m., Jan. 4, President-elect Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, are escorted by police northbound on Route 1.
Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president on Wednesday, Jan. 20, in a scaled-down inauguration ceremony due to health risks posed by COVID-19. The ceremony will include a military review, a military escort to the White House and a televised virtual parade featuring performances from across the country, according to the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
