Previous Dewey officials endorse Stevens

September 18, 2020

We’ve all witnessed the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on Dewey Beach. Whether it be our town finances, local businesses, or town employees, COVID continues to impact every facet of local life. As previous office holders in Dewey Beach, we have firsthand experience in understanding the needs of local residents and our community at large.

We also know that it is often in times like these that we look to our local leaders for solutions. Bill Stevens is running for Dewey Beach commissioner and is the type of leader that we know is equipped to navigate these types of crises.

Bill Stevens has proven his commitment to Dewey Beach through his work on various committees and in the community. As chair of the budget and finance committee, Bill has been dedicated to maintaining public safety on our beaches and streets, while finding ways to get our town as close as possible to remaining on budget. We are confident that his decision-making will help our town continue to succeed in the short and long term.

The Dewey Beach Way of Life we all have come to know and grown to love has to be preserved. By electing Bill Stevens, our town will be in good hands and have a constant advocate dedicated to the preservation of that way of life. Our town doesn’t need petty politics and divisiveness; it needs consensus molders and people dedicated to getting things done the right way. The people of this beautiful community deserve nothing less.

This Sept. 26, we will be voting for Bill Stevens for Dewey Beach commissioner.  We urge you to vote either Saturday, Sept. 26, at the polls, or earlier by going to Dewey Beach Town Hall today or any day leading up to election day.
