Red, white and blue outfits and decked-out golf carts took part in the annual Fourth of July parade at Prime Hook Beach.
The parade has been an annual event at Prime Hook since 1997, and despite a heat wave that canceled other July 4 events in the Cape Region, organizer Bob Morris said it was important to keep the tradition going.
To keep participants' time out in the heat to a minimum, the parade followed a shortened route, and afterward, there was ice cream for the kids and water for the adults.
