Public needs to observe health protocols

May 15, 2020

I appreciate the need to restart the economy, but I believe the scientists before I believe the politicians.

If everyone observed the masking and distancing requirements, phased-in openings of businesses and public places would be feasible. Walking through Rehoboth Beach, wearing protective equipment the other day, we noticed that half the walkers were unprotected and not distancing.

I fear this virus will increase exponentially in areas that are open to the public if people refuse to follow the reopening protective guidelines.
