Jack Ward turns 90 in a week. He did more pushups than the majority of the Gazette’s readers can do.
Charlie Garlow came close to winning the pushup contest, but he is still in a good mood afterward.

Turn out was light, but competition was stiff for Up With Delaware’s inaugural Pushup, Chinup, Situp, Pullup Contest and Yoga Demonstration Aug. 10 in Rehoboth Beach’s Grove Park. The event was a fundraiser for nonprofit environmental organizations Assateague Coastal Trust, Sierra Club of Delaware, MERR Institute, Delaware Surfrider and the Citizens Climate Lobby.
