Quakertown Wellness Center will hold an open house from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, to celebrate a reorganization of the center and an expansion of services. Light refreshments will be served, and attendees can meet all eight integrative and holistic healthcare providers. Informal tours of the new group space and treatment rooms will be available.
Quakertown Wellness was founded in 2007 by Sally Laux, BSN, LAc, and has grown to include several talented and experienced healers. In May 2016, the group transitioned into a new cooperative business model led by Karyn Jennings, LMT; Lauren Mund, LAc; and Dr. Kim Furtado, ND. The team has welcomed new practitioner Catrina Stiller, LPCMH and has designated a new space for group work.
The group space will host a wide array of classes and clinical services, and is also available for use by the community upon request. Clinical services, ongoing classes and informational workshops in the new space will include group acupuncture sessions with Lauren Mund; group counseling sessions with Catrina Stiller; six-week meditation class starting end of summer with the Rev. Sue Greer, OM; and workshops on Ayurvedic medicine in the fall with Kim Blanch, LM, RN.
Practitioners set to attend the open house are Kim Blanch, Kim Furtado, Sue Greer, Karyn Jennings, Sally Laux, Lauren Mund, Bonnie Schuyler and Catrina Stiller. For more information, go to www.quakertownwellness.com.
