Ravens volleyball falls to Spartans 0-3

September 5, 2019

The Lake Forest volleyball team took a win away from the Ravens for the third season in a row with a 25-20, 25-15 and 25-23 victory at Sussex Tech.

Junior setter Nataleigh Hunter led Sussex Tech with 14 assists. Libero Karly Davis picked up five digs, while Alexandra Johnson and Hanna Gorski knocked down four kills each. Gorski and Hunter served four and three aces, respectively.

“Even though our first game wasn’t a win, we still learned a lot, and it gave us some insight to what we need to work on to improve for the next games,” said Tech senior Sierra Livingston. “Our team has great chemistry, and we just need to continue to work together as one.”

“It was our first game of the season and the nerves were very high,” said senior captain Sarah Perdue. “That being said, we made some errors that affected our game and led to the outcome of us losing. Overall, we are a team that depends on each other, and when work together we conquer. With this loss under our belt, I believe that in our games to come there will be a greater result.”

The Ravens will return to action Monday, Sept. 9, at Dover.
