Rehoboth Beach was the place to catch outstanding athleticism July 8, during the 45th United States Lifesaving Association Mid-Atlantic Regional Lifeguarding Championships.
Members of Cape Region patrols tested their skills against themselves and other regional patrols. The top three finishers/teams in the 4-by-90 soft sand relay, 2K beach run, landline rescue race, open 90-meter sprint, 400-meter surf race, board rescue race, rescue tube race, run-swim-run and beach flags booked their spots on flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for the national competition Aug. 5-7.
