Real estate pre-licensing course to start Jan. 27

Sussex County Association of Realtors announced it will offer a real estate pre-licensing course starting Monday, Jan. 27 at its office at at 23407 Park Ave., Georgetown.

Sessions will meet from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, Monday to Friday, Jan. 27 to 31; Monday, Thursday and Friday, Feb. 3, 6 and 7; Monday, Feb. 10; Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 12 to 14; Monday, Feb. 17; Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 19 to 21; and Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 24 and 26. Cost is $699.

Some of the best instructors in real estate will be teaching portions of the course.

“Our instructional staff for this course is first rate. They are some of the best in the industry,” said Stephanie Talbott, director of professional development.

Sussex County Association of Realtors is often considered a resource for information about becoming a real estate agent. It already offers numerous continuing education credits to its 1,500 members and members of other associations in the state. Now, in addition to offering courses throughout a Realtor’s journey, including broker licensing, the association is also offering the pre-licensing course for those who want to launch a new career in real estate.

The course is offered during the daytime to meet the needs of those who cannot attend a nighttime course.
