The National Multiple Sclerosis Society invites cyclists of all abilities, ages 12 and up, to register for Bike to the Bay: DE 2026, a one-day ride Saturday, Oct. 3, that combines scenic coastal views, community spirit and a shared commitment to creating a world free of multiple sclerosis. Bike to the Bay: DE offers participants the opportunity to experience some of Delaware’s most beautiful landscapes while making a meaningful impact for the nearly 1 million people living with MS in the United States. Riders can choose among routes ranging from 25 to 75 miles, making the event accessible for both seasoned cyclists and those new to fundraising rides.
The journey begins at the Delaware Technical Community College Dover campus, where riders will set out across the flat farmlands of Kent and Sussex counties. Along the way, participants will enjoy scenic stretches that lead toward Delaware’s coast, pass beautiful beaches, connect with fellow cyclists during a shared lunch stop and finish at Cape Henlopen State Park.
“Bike to the Bay is a testament to the power of the Delaware community, where individuals unite year after year to support one another and advance the mission of creating a world free of MS,” said Brianna Slemko, assistant vice president of Endurance Events. “The event showcases the remarkable generosity, determination and community spirit that make Delaware such a special place.”
After crossing the finish line, participants will be welcomed to a festive bayside celebration at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. Riders can commemorate their accomplishment while enjoying a complimentary meal, event T-shirt and medal pickup, a beer garden for guests ages 21 and older, and a variety of post-ride festivities with fellow participants and supporters. Once the celebration concludes, convenient bus transportation will return riders to the starting line in Dover.
Funds raised through Bike to the Bay: DE 2026 support the National MS Society’s mission to cure MS while empowering people affected by the disease to live their best lives. Participants join a dedicated community committed to changing the world for people living with MS, one mile at a time.
