Rehoboth Art League to host holiday fair on-site Nov. 7-8

November 4, 2020

The Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show will return to the Henlopen Acres campus  for a unique pre-holiday shopping opportunity from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8, rain or shine.

Now in its 36th year, the event brings a group of juried fine artisans to the league’s 3.5-acre property, where they set up booths in several buildings. Patrons can stroll the grounds to purchase ceramics, jewelry, glass, basketry, fiber art and much more.

The Rehoboth Art League will continue to require mask-wearing by those who enter buildings, and galleries will have one-way traffic flow and available hand sanitizer. Social distancing will be enforced. Food and drink will also be available, courtesy of the Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe, offering packaged, takeaway breakfast and lunch options that can be enjoyed in outdoor seating areas on campus. Dogfish Head will offer a selection of craft beer, and purchases support RAL exhibition and education programs.

An exciting raffle is an annual part of the holiday fair, and this year, exhibiting artist Linda Hill has donated an original piece of artwork, titled “Resist 2.” This digital collage is inspired by the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment.

Each holiday fair admission comes with one complimentary raffle ticket, and additional tickets may be purchased in the Corkran Gallery. The winning ticket will be drawn at the close of Hill’s RAL exhibition, Monday, Dec. 14.

Visitors to campus can also take a chance at winning original artwork donated by holiday fair artists in the event fundraising auction, which is on display in the DeWitt Gallery but also available online.

Entry is $5 per person and children under 12 are admitted free.
