Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association marks 50 years

September 25, 2021

The Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association celebrated its 50-year anniversary with a picnic at Grove Park Sept. 19.

Mayor Stan Mills presented the association with a city proclamation acknowledging its many accomplishments over the last 50 years.

The association was founded by homeowners in 1971 to fight the onslaught of commercial sprawl and proliferation of high-rise buildings within City of Rehoboth Beach limits. Even today, with over 500 members, the association continues to monitor quality-of-life issues and supports many local civic organizations deemed vital to maintaining the charm and scale for which Rehoboth Beach is known. Membership is open to any City of Rehoboth Beach property owner or full-time resident. To learn more, go to RBHome.org.
