Rehoboth-Dewey Chamber celebrates new member Capital Ringers

The Rehoboth-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce celebrated new member Capital Ringers with a ribbon-cutting Nov. 2.

Capital Ringers Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) community English handbell ensemble, founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Linda Simms. This group delivers performances that demonstrate the artistic diversity of English handbells and handchimes. They are renowned in and beyond Delmarva for their vast repertoire, including classic rock, jazz, patriotic, sacred, top 40 tunes, and traditional holiday favorites.  

Their Christmas tour, Celebrate the Season! will be held at several Sussex County locations, in Easton, Md., and at Salisbury University, Salisbury, Md., with the 100 voices of the Salisbury Chorales. They will be featured on the WBOC-TV program “Delmarva Life” Nov. 30. 

Beginning  January 2019, Capital Ringers will be partnering with Conley’s United Methodist Church in Lewes where all rehearsals will be held. If interested in learning more about ringing and non-ringing (production team) opportunities with Capital Ringers, the public is invited to attend an orientation session at Conley’s United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.  For more information, contact Simms at 302-632-3106.
