The annual Rehoboth Beach fireworks display delighted visitors July 1. Firework enthusiasts got into town early, set up shop on the beach, milled about in their Independence Day clothing and listened to The Funsters before and after the show.
The Pennsylvania-based Zambelli Fireworks set off hundreds of fireworks and land-based cakes over a 20-minute span. Volunteer fire companies, police departments and state agencies joined the Rehoboth contingency to make sure visitors enjoyed their time safely.
The Cape Region continues to celebrate Independence Day fun through Wednesday, July 4, with events in Lewes, Milton, Dewey, Henlopen Acres and Bethany Beach. Go to www.beachpaper.com/node/160226 for more information.
