Rehoboth library health programs to start Sept. 12

September 12, 2018

The Rehoboth Public Library will host health and well-being programs this month.

Empowerment coach and intuitive healer Stacey Dykes will present Beyond the Law of Attraction at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12.  She aims to help participants manifest their desires by healing core wounds and beliefs that keep them stuck. In this program, Dykes will discuss what people are vibrating out into the world, how their subconscious beliefs are playing out in their lives, and how healing the past can affect the future. Registration is suggested.

Sarah van der Steur, a transformative mind-set and health coach, will give a talk on nutrition at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13. The discussion will focus on how sugar craving can create an unhealthy balance in one’s life. Healthy snacks will be provided.

Joseph Cisco, president of CAISE Benefits, will conduct the first of two seminars about Medicare at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14. Medicare Basics in Retirement aims to help attendees understand their options when enrolling with Medicare and/or retiring. Cisco is prepared to answer all questions regarding Medicare open enrollment, including when to review prescription plans and make changes. Topics will include what all those letters mean; the differences between plans F, G and N; understanding the major difference between being observed and admitted in the hospital; and how COBRA and retiree benefits can affect Medicare. This seminar will be offered again Friday, Oct. 19, at Rehoboth Beach Public Library.

Rite Aid will send certified immunization pharmacists to the library to administer shots for the flu, pneumonia and Tdap vaccines from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24. There is no prior registration required, but those interested must remember to bring their health insurance card.

Rehoboth Beach Public Library is at 226 Rehoboth Ave. For more information, call 302-227-8044 or email lauren.mccauley@lib.de.us. All programs are free of charge.
