Rehoboth Public Library plans two upcoming events

Oreos aplenty Oct. 13 for ‘Love, Simon’ discussion
October 11, 2018

Oreos will be abundant at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. Teens are invited to discuss the book “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” and its recent movie adaptation, “Love, Simon.” After watching the movie, they will talk about LGBTQ+ and other themes that run throughout the book and movie. This event is co-sponsored by CAMP Rehoboth and PFLAG.

For more information about the “Love, Simon” discussion, call 302-227-8044 or email sarah.beham@lib.de.us.

Starting Monday, Oct. 15, the library will offer a weekly after-school video game club called the League of Game-Busters, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Monday. At the first meeting, the club will pick a game to try playing together, then work on it each week until they  beat it, or move on to something else. The club is open to school-age kids, tweens and teens. Snacks will be served. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library is at 226 Rehoboth Ave. For more information about the League of Game-Busters and other library events, call 302-227-8044 or email lauren.mccauley@lib.de.us. All programs are free of charge.
