We are fortunate to have spent some time in Sedona, Ariz., an International Dark Sky Community. The night skies are spectacular and draw visitors from around the world.
When it became necessary, for safety reasons, to illuminate a section of highway 89A, light fixtures were carefully chosen that provided adequate light for the roadway with all light directed downward and none up toward the sky.
This same lighting pattern would be just what would make the Rehoboth Boardwalk safely lit with clear views of the night sky.
