Remember unbridled growth at election time

September 24, 2021

It is becoming more evident that a large segment of the resident population in southern Sussex County is very disturbed by the unregulated, unexplainable, explosive development growth in this part of the county and the accompanying gridlock, traffic issues, infrastructure concerns, and ineffective comprehensive planning. I do not know if the public officials tasked with these issues and responsibilities listen to their constituents since we see development after development approved over the objections of resident voters.

Now is the time to realize that voting the same people (elected officials, planning boards) into office who have brought us to this point will not effect any change or improvement. We need to bring new candidates into the public arena and vet these candidates to ensure that they understand the desires of their prospective constituents. Let’s remember this at election time.
