Ribbon cutting held for Aliyah’s Cupboard in Millsboro

March 23, 2020

Under a beautiful, sunny sky March 12 in Millsboro, Aliyah’s Cupboard Inc., a nonprofit organization, held its ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce.

Many family members and friends celebrated the occasion with parents Kevin Simms and Alexa Howard in memory of their baby girl Aliyah. Paternal grandparents Linwood and Gail Reid joined the celebration of Aliyah’s legacy.

Aliyah’s Cupboard donates gift baskets to parents of a child dealing with a medical crisis at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. Baskets contain personal toiletries for the parents as well as an activity for the child, and each basket has a personal note of encouragement from Kevin Simms.

"Blessing families with a basket full of love is what Aliyah’s Cupboard is all about,” said Simms.
