Richard Lee Brandner, had cleaning service

Richard Lee Brandner, 67, of Millsboro passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Friday, April 3, 2020.

He was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Gumboro to the late Maurice C. and Selma Jean (Chartier) Brandner.  He is also predeceased by a brother, Tony Brandner.

He worked at Cygnet Construction for 20 years, and then became a partner in Chippy’s Cleaning Service. He was a member of Indian Mission United Methodist Church and an associate member of the Nanticoke Indian Association.  He loved working and meeting people at the annual powwows.  He also enjoyed camping.

Mr. Brandner is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dalene “Chippy” Brandner.  Also surviving Mr. Brandner are his six daughters: Kristan Brandner, Katherine Jenkins, Amanda Malone, Rachel Davis (Jeff), Farrah Stigall (Rick) and Amanda Norwood; siblings: Judy McGinnis (Robert), Ruth Lewis, Frank Brandner and Teresa Brandner-Lockerman (Gary); 13 grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces, in addition to his best friends and companions, Cupcake and Snickers.

At his request, a Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
