June 18, 2019

Robert F. Wright went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 9, 2019. He passed at his home in Lewes.

Born in 1936 in Wilmington, he will be dearly missed by his four daughters and their spouses; Robin and Joe Callahan, Joy and Dan Stilwell, Jessica and Tim Lehne, and Jennifer and Jeff Fisher; his four grandchildren and their spouses; John and Emily Lehne, Colleen and Nathan Denver, Amber and Mark Deptula, and Brendan and Deepa Callahan; his six great-grandchildren; and his sisters Dorothy Rodenhiser and Becky Mery.

Bob was a graduate of Brown Vocational High School and Staunton Military Academy. He was president of Wright's Construction Company in Wilmington, and was president of Wright's Self Storage, Lewes, where he worked with his daughters Jessica and Robin. He also founded Wash-n-Wag, where he helped his daughters Joy and Jennifer daily. He was a 33 Degree Mason and a Shriner. Bob loved traveling, attending auctions, surf fishing, boating with family and friends, throwing parties, and spending time with his friends at The Greene Turtle and Irish Eyes in Lewes.

A celebration of life will be held in Lewes at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
