Robert Harvey Lewis, Army veteran

Robert Harvey Lewis, 68, of Dagsboro, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Born in Berlin, Md., he was the son of the late Reuben Henry Lewis Sr. and Henrietta Aydelotte Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of VFW Lodge 24 in Dagsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" Cathell Lewis of Dagsboro; sons, Brian Matthew Lewis and wife Shawn of Campbelltown , Md., and Todd Allen Metzger and wife Melanie of Pittsville, Md.; grandchildren: Rachael, PJ, Noah, Levi, Obi and Sydney; sister, Vicki Baker of Dagsboro; brothers, James Lynn Lewis of Frankford, Douglas Ross Lewis of Pittsville, Md., and Bruce Henry Lewis of Frederick, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Lewis.

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
