Robert Lake Limerick, strong and brave

January 21, 2019

Robert Lake Limerick of Frankford passed away Friday, Jan, 18, 2019.

Dear friends and family, it is with great sadness that I am writing to let you know that my husband and best friend, Bob, passed away.  Bob was diagnosed the day after Christmas with a very aggressive form of pancreatic cancer which moved quickly. He did not have any symptoms till mid-December. Surgery and chemo were not an option.

After 37 years of marriage, I know that Bob would have wanted you to picture him at the wheel of his 1957 Ford Fairlane driving to the local Dairy Queen, or at the helm of one of our many boats, or walking with one of his loving and devoted collies in the field behind our house.  Bob would want you to remember him strong and brave which he was until the end of his life.

Bob chose to be cremated. I hope to plan a celebration of his life, here in Delaware or in St. Michaels, Md., in the summer or fall when the weather is warmer. I will keep you updated.

Thank you in advance for all your kind thoughts and good wishes. I need some quiet time right now to connect with family and navigate a path to life without Bob.

Donations in remembrance of Bob can be made to Collie Rescue Inc., POB 221982, Chantilly, VA  22033, or Compassionate Care Hospice, 20163 Office Circle, Suite 22, Georgetown, DE 19947

Thank you. Treasure each moment and find peace in simple, everyday routines and pleasures. Love, Chris.
