Rotary donates to Greater Lewes Community Village

December 16, 2018

The Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary Club recently donated $500 to support the work of the Greater Lewes Community Village. This Sussex County nonprofit’s mission is to help seniors live independently at home for as long as possible.

Through its volunteer network of helpers, the village provides a host of services for older adults including home visits, transportation for appointments and grocery shopping, help with household tasks, social and educational activities and much more. It also maintains a vetted list of professional vendors that may be requested by members.

Rotary's mission is to make the greater Lewes community a better place to live, work, go to school and raise a family, through both service and fundraising projects. The club meets at 5:45 p.m. every Monday for dinner at the Children’s Beach House in Lewes. Community-spirited individuals are invited to attend.
