A total of 432 runners, shrouded in a Boardwalk mist, ran the out and back at the 5K Run to the Plunge Feb. 1 in Rehoboth Beach.
The event is sponsored by Jack Lingo Realtor.
“We used to sponsor a golf tournament in February, but nobody showed up,” said John Lingo before receiving a plaque for the office. “This event is great and has grown every year.”
The top 5 finishers were Anthony Miranda in 18:24, Chris Morrison in 18:42, Matt Sparacino in 18:55, David Marshall in 19:22 and Bryan Mack in 19:32.
The top 5 females were Faith Mitchell in 20:24, Bridget Danner in 20:50, Alexis and Kelsey Oliphant in 21:44 and Jennifer Lippincott in 22:12.
