Ruth K. Henry, laundry worker
Ruth K. Henry, 89 of Lewes passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, in Harbor Healthcare, Lewes, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 29, 1929, in Lewes, daughter of the late George W. King and Effie (Hazzard) King.
Ruth was a laundry worker and shirt ironer for Lewes Quick Wash and Quick Way Laundries.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Dawson Henry, in 1995; brothers, Emory King and William D. King; and sister, Alma Wharton.
Surviving are a daughter, Dianne Dirks and her husband Peter; a son, George J. King and his wife Gloria; three grandchildren, Paula Hennessy, Pamela Dirks and Peter Dirks Jr.; and four stepgrandchildren, Jamie Clifton, Timothy Lehne, Paula Veasey and Steven Craft, and all of their families.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, at 2 p.m., at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 2013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Conley’s Chapel Cemetery, Angola.
