School resource officer reads to preschool students at Sussex Consortium

Cape Henlopen School District School Resource Officer Cpl. Crysti Davis recently visited Andrea Elling’s preschool class at the Sussex Consortium and read a storybook aloud to the students. “Officer Buckle and Gloria,” a children’s book written by Peggy Rathmann, shares adventures of a police officer and his K9 partner, Gloria.

Davis’s reading visit was part of Sussex Consortium’s program goal to motivate students to work hard, as well as to increase reader engagement and promote an overall love of reading among the students.
